Tijuana, do ye Wanna?

So been another little while since I updated but been asleep and busy for the past few days. Recovering as it where. Wednesday night, we hit Tijuana, Mexico. Jon and Grainne couldn’t go because of Grainne’s passport being confiscated and because of Jon putting his through the wash, but the rest went and it was pretty much the experience of a lifetime…

Rather than go the traditional route, we decided to get a “Party Bus”. We squeezed 60 people onto a bus that we were allowed drink on and it had all the works, lights and rave on tunes to get us in the mood. Wednesday night is “Irish night” in TJ so it was pretty much 99% Irish and the journey down was savage (Word of the summer). Read the full story

Welcome to the house of fun

Right, now that we are just about settled and the housewarming parties have been had I can make a bit more of a detailed update.

So we have moved into our two houses and so too practically have our neighbors. We only have one bad neighbor and he’s the one who keeps calling the police. I have only had my name taken once because we take turns answering the door to the shades and they cannot come into the house.

So eventually, our second house is ready. You can see from the photo we have a pretty sweet setup. I am in the front house and the house directly behind it is our second house. The house to the left is empty and the house tot he right is our cool German neighborhoods. The house to the back left is our American frat/sorority (I don’t understand the whole thing) girls house where the coolest neighbours of fall time live. They are really like you see in college films. Jenny, Rachel and Dee are just fantastic. Read the full story

Barely there.

OK, So we have signed our lease on our first house and we are waiting on the stupid landlord to fit the carpet in the second house so everyone can move in. In the meantime, we have all “moved” from the hostel and officially moved into our house. The parties have not begun because the landlord is a weirdo and keeps walking right into the house at the strangest times. Basically, he thinks there are 3 people living in the house, but really there are now 17. We cannot keep hiding in the closet forever!

The house is pretty big but we are literally sleeping on top of each other. Drinking every night means you just take the first free spot you see. I am actually used to sleeping in a bed with people I don’t know now!

California, California, Here we are.

OK, now that I am here and a little more settled I can update this a bit. I’ll just give a brief rundown of what has happened so far.

First of all, the entire journey was 25 hours in total. Leaving Sarah was horrible and I really didn’t want to go. 🙁 When I got to London, I had a few drinks in the bar and a half hour before my flight (I like to board last) I realised I was in the wrong terminal. So I was running like a lunatic, had to get a bus and when I go to terminal 2 I could hear my name being called out and I knew my summer had begun. 🙂 Read the full story

San Diego :)

To keep my baby happy, this is just a quick note to say that I arrived here safe and sound, met a large group of people who I will hopefully be living with. Accommodation is VERY hard to find. Place is AMAZING, it is exactly like you see on TV. Lots of surfers and were staying in a surfer town. I have loads of photos I will update this site when I have more time. I just found out the library has free wireless internet, so Im sorted. Tomorrow or the next day Ill have a full update.

Miss Sarah and Buttons and Jennifer and my family and friends very much. Jen, if I call, please PLEASE answer.I need to wish you good luck.

Talk soon.
